Case study: Elevated Stamped Patio
The Smiths had an elevated stamped concrete patio that turned out to be a nightmare.
Instead of the patio being sloped away from the house, it was sloped towards the house.
When it rained, it left a small pond of water approximately 3” deep at the steps of the door wall. In addition to the sloping problem, the stamped impressions were not uniform throughout the entire patio, and the coloring was very uneven.
Even though these problems existed with their new patio, complete removal and replacement of their concrete was not necessary.
We were able to use their existing concrete.
By grinding and skim- coating the patio to reverse the pitch, we enabled the water to run away from the house thus eliminating the water problem.
After our CULTURED CONCRETE application was installed, the original esthetics problem was solved.
